Industrial Ovens

Industrial ovens have been used as a single unit or with a conveyor system to continuously move articles through the oven at a determined rate. Industrial foundry ovens are used to melt and process metals for mining, die-casting, and brazing. Foundry ovens employ mechanisms, which enable the oven to be positioned for optimal productivity and access. Quenching ovens are used within industry to facilitate accelerated cooling of materials, for testing or manufacturing requirements.

These are used within industry to process a wide array of product applications, which include:

• Annealing: It is a heat treatment process used to achieve material properties, by heating the material, maintaining a suitable temperature, and then cooling it. Annealing is used to induce softness, relieve internal stresses, recrystallization, and improve cold working properties.
  
  
• Curing:It is a process used for the hardening or toughening of materials by cross-linking of polymer chains, which can be achieved by the application of heat, chemical additives, or radiations.
  
  
• Drying: It is basically a mass transfer process , which involves removal of water from any material by the application of heat.
  
  
• Preheating: It is a preparatory process, which is used before main heating operations, or trigerring chemical reactions.
  


• Sterilizing:It is a process of destroying or eliminating transmissible agents, such as bacteria, viruses, spores etc. from surfaces, basically food, equipments etc
  
  
• Baking: Baking is the process of prolonged cooking of food by application of heat through conduction, and not by radiation. Primarily the process is performed in an oven, but may also be done in hot ashes, or on hot stones.
